Aoki is out with a fractured fibula. He joins Hunter Pence on the disabled list and has had a notable amount of success at the plate in 2015 (.317 average).

Andy MacPhail joins Phillies as top executive

As the club continues to rebuild, MacPhail is expected to be responsible for key decisions (Hamels especially) before the trade deadline.

Red Sox option Joe Kelly to Triple-A

Kelly posted a 5.67 ERA over 14 starts. He could be called upon again but will work on his command before returning to Boston.

Pirates interested in Clay Buchholz

Buchholz struggled in 2014 but has bounced back and is drawing a notable amount of interest. The Pirates would benefit from adding a back end of the rotation arm.

Twins call up Alex Meyer
