The year of the prospect continues to move along, as the Twins are reportedly calling up Miguel Sano.
Just heard from a well-placed source that Miguel Sano will be getting the call up to the Twins.

Sano is the third highly rated prospect that the Twins have called up this season, joining reliever Alex Meyer, and outfielder Byron Buxton. In 286 at-bats with AA, Sano produced a slash line of .274/.374/.544 with a wOBA of .413 and a wRC+ of 157. He has enormous power, which grades out at a 55 for game situations, and 80 in terms of raw ability.
He was initially expected to join the Twins at some point in 2014, but he unfortuantely had to undergo Tommy John surgery, and his timeline was pushed back. Before the injury, Sano's confidence was high, and he predicted that he could hit anywhere from 45-55 home runs at the major league level.
It's unclear on how much playing time he'll get, but it's a safe bet that Sano will regularly be in the lineup. It's unlikely that the Twins would bring him up just to sit on the bench. The club hasn't confirmed anything yet, but it's expected shortly.
