Trade #1: Carlos Gomez and Jean Segura

New York Mets acquire: OF Carlos Gomez, SS Jean Segura

Milwaukee Brewers acquire: C Kevin Plawecki, OF Michael Conforto

With this deal, the Mets acquire a big run producer and finally pick up the shortstop they have been waiting for. The Brewers add two highly touted young prospects in return.

Mets' roster changes: OF Kirk Nieuwenhuis, SS Ruben Tejada designated for assignment. OF Michael Cuddyer and OF Curtis Granderson platoon in RF.

Brewers' roster changes: SS Luis Sardinas and OF Logan Schafer recalled from AAA. C Kevin Plawecki optioned to AAA. SS Luis Sardinas shifted to starting lineup.

Trade #2: Cole Hamels and Jonathan Papelbon

Toronto Blue Jays acquire: SP Cole Hamels, RP Jonathan Papelbon, $25 million

Philadelphia Phillies acquire: SP Daniel Norris, OF Dalton Pompey, RP Alberto Tirado

This is a no-brainer for Toronto. The big rotation and bullpen arms that they always needed come in this deal, yet they do give up their #1 prospect Daniel Norris. The Phillies put their rebuild in motion by acquiring top talent from the upper minors.

Trade #3: Johnny Cueto

Houston Astros acquire: SP Johnny Cueto

Cincinnati Reds acquire: OF Domingo Santana, SP Michael Feliz

The Astros get their big-name piece to go with Dallas Keuchel in their rotation. The Reds get a future rotation piece and a future starting outfielder to go with Billy Hamilton.

Astros' roster changes: SP/RP Roberto Hernandez designated for assignment.

Reds' roster changes: SP David Holmberg and OF Domingo Santana recalled from AAA. OF Jason Bourgeois designated for assignment.

Los Angeles Angels acquire: OF Carlos Gonzalez

Colorado Rockies acquire: SP Nick Tropeano, 2B Alex Yarbrough

The Angels get a bat so they can get Matt Joyce out of the lineup, which is sorely needed considering his ugly .190/.281/.319 slash line. The Rockies acquire a young, MLB ready starter and a likely future contributor.

Rockies' roster changes: OF Brandon Barnes recalled from AAA. OF Drew Stubbs shifted to starting lineup.

Trade #5: Jonathan Lucroy

Tampa Bay Rays acquire: C Jonathan Lucroy

Milwaukee Brewers acquire: SS Willy Adames

The Rays get their catcher of the future and unseat Rene Rivera as the starting catcher. They lose Adames, but keep top prospect Daniel Robertson, who is a shortstop as well. The Brewers acquire a guy who can replace Segura in the future and make space for Plawecki to get the starting job.

Trade #6: Ben Zobrist

Washington Nationals acquire: 2B/OF Ben Zobrist

Oakland Athletics acquire: SP Joe Ross

The Nationals get a guy who can bridge the gap in multiple positions until Jayson Werth, Anthony Rendon, Ryan Zimmerman, and others return from the DL. The Athletics get a young pitcher to put behind Sonny Gray in their rotation.

Nationals' roster changes: 2B/OF Ben Zobrist to LF. 1B/OF Clint Robinson to 1B. 1B/OF Tyler Moore to bench. SS Wilmer Difo optioned to AAA.

Athletics' roster changes: 2B Joey Wendle has contract purchased from AAA. RP Angel Castro designated for assignment. 2B Eric Sogard shifted to starting lineup.

Cincinnati Reds acquire: OF Travis Snider, OF Mike Yastrzemski

The Orioles acquire a guy under team control through 2016 who has the potential to hit 30+ home runs. The Reds stockpile more young talent in Yaz and Snider, who will both be solid contributors for the future in Cincinnati.

Trade #14: Craig Kimbrel and Derek Norris

Seattle Mariners acquire: RP Craig Kimbrel and C Derek Norris

San Diego Padres acquire: 1B/3B DJ Peterson, SS Ketel Marte

The Mariners get two young, team controlled guys who can contribute for years to come. They also bump Mike Zunino from the roster, who has turned quickly from top prospect to big league bust. The Padres get two guys who will surely contribute to their eventual winning seasons.

Kansas City Royals acquire: 2B Aaron Hill

Arizona Diamondbacks acquire: SP Christian Binford

The Royals get a good replacement for Omar Infante, who has been horrible this season, slashing .236/.247/.308. The Diamondbacks get a good young pitcher to add for future consideration in their rotation.

Royals' roster changes: SS Dusty Coleman optioned to AAA. 2B Omar Infante shifted to bench.

Diamondbacks' roster changes: SS Danny Worth has contract purchased from AAA.
