The New York Yankees are looking for relief help. They have been working on a deal with the Padres for Craig Kimbrel and have been targeting Aroldis Chapman. Despite all of that, they may turn to Carter Capps as their bullpen addition, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
yankees are waiting on SD and kimbrel but may turn to marlins carter capps instead

Capps is having a great 2015 season, sporting a 1.21 ERA in 29.2 innings. He is also only 24 and is under team control through 2018. His name hasn't been mentioned much this month, and seemingly appeared out of nowhere, as this is the first we are hearing of him being involved in trade talks.
For a Yankees team that doesn't want to move any of their bigger prospects, Capps provides a cheaper and younger option for them to insert into their already top of the line bullpen. He would join Andrew Millyer, Dellin Betances and Chasen Shreve to give the Yankees another option late in the game.
