Before the trade deadline ended this year, the Blue Jays made it abundantly clear that they were all in, and acquired two of the biggest names available; Troy Tulowitzki and David Price. While they'll undoubtedly cool off at some point, Alex Anthopoulos' team is 10-1 in the month of August, and Toronto has taken sole possession of first place in the AL East.
While the series was at the tail end of July, and extended into early August, the Jays took three out of four games from the defending AL champions, which could ultimately wind up being a preview of the ALCS in 2015. Below are the most recent odds from Bovada as for which teams are most likely to win the World Series.

While the Blue Jays' hot streak is undoubtedly going to come to an end at some point, they're now a slight favorite over the Royals. The Mets' odds have also increased significantly since August 3rd, as their offense has finally taken off, and they're now scoring enough runs for their dominant starting staff. These rankings can change dramatically by the end of the season, but for now, Toronto sits atop this list, as they continue to dominate the rest of the league.
