First, before anything else, let’s take a moment to acknowledge that both World Series contention teams are from the central division. Let’s hear it for America’s heartland, or as our BossMan says:
I'm just happy for the midwest right now. Sorry, coasts.

Cleveland is going to the World Series, and we’re all pretty hype. Corey Kluber will be taking the mound for Game 1, because let’s start the series with a bang, shall we?
Let’s say you don’t buy into the Cubs “break the curse, make history” narrative. We have what you and your Twitter feed have been hopelessly looking for right here.
Also Andrew Miller because Andrew Miller:

The White Sox officially have a new Director of Player Development and he looks a little familiar: former Sox second basemen Chris Getz. Getz will concentrate his efforts in the minor league arena.
“Today, the Chicago White Sox make it official by hiring Chris Getz as Director of Player Development. Filling in for Nick Capra, who will be replacing Joe McEwing as the third base coach in Chicago, Getz will be taking the knowledge learned while working for the Kansas City Royals to Chicago. While reporting to Rick Hahn, Getz will be working closely with Director of Amateur Scouting, Nick Hostetler, to improve the prospect pipeline.”
According to Buster Olney, earlier reports that stated the Tigers tried to get rid of outfielder Justin Upton this year are untrue.
DET source says contrary to what was written Friday, team never attempted to move Justin Upton during '16; says other teams did call them.
— Buster Olney (@Buster_ESPN) October 22, 2016
Olney previously reported that Detroit was shopping around the outfielder this summer in an effort to build a stronger and faster team. The Tigers signed Upton to a six-year, $132.75 million deal in January.
The Royals have signed left-handed pitcher Onelki Garcia. This deal would send the 27-year old Cuban into the minor leagues for the Kansas City. Garcia spent 2014 and 2015 in the farm system for the White Sox.
Let’s put all of this World Series buzz to the side for a moment to answer the singular question on every baseball fan’s mind. The haunting though that keeps us up at night, shuddering under the covers: would could Twins mascot TC Bear being doing right now? Luckily, Twinkie Town has answers.
