If the Royals decide to trade Wade Davis this off-season, they would seek controllable pitching in return, according to Nick Cafardo of The Boston Globe.
Though Davis’ name came up routinely in advance of the non-waiver trade deadline, the Royals reportedly had a high asking price and decided to keep him on their roster. The Royals also dangled Davis and Ian Kennedy together in deals, but ultimately nothing got done.
Over 43.1 last season, Davis pitched to a 1.87 ERA and 2.29 FIP.
