In over 182.1 innings with the Marlins last season, Fernandez boasted a 2.86 ERA and 2.30 FIP with 253 strikeouts and a 1.12 WHIP. He is deeply and sorely missed. Jose forever.
Here’s more of what’s going on in the National League East:
Right-handed pitcher Pat Neshek has been acquired by the Phillies.
The Marlins are considering Edinson Volquez.
The Braves have inquired about Rays pitcher Chris Archer.
#Braves have spoken with the #Rays about Chris Archer, among other controllable starters, sources say. @MLB @MLBNetwork

The Washington Nationals have been in a dispute with the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network for a long time. This disconnect is largely due to rights fees and broadcasting. So will this this issue have a huge impact on what goes down in D.C. during the offseason?
What’s going on with Cespedes is currently a grey area with the Mets. And they’re trying to get it cleared up on the double, way ahead of last year’s timeline.
