MLB: Philadelphia Phillies at New York Mets Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Ten players received 1-year, $17.2 million qualifying offers before today’s 5 p.m. deadline, according to a league source:

OF Jose Bautista (Blue Jays)
OF Yoenis Cespedes (Mets)
OF Ian Desmond (Rangers)
1B Edwin Encarnacion (Blue Jays)
OF Dexter Fowler (Cubs)
RHP Jeremy Hellickson (Phillies)
RHP Kenley Jansen (Dodgers)
OF Mark Trumbo (Orioles)
3B Justin Turner (Dodgers)
2B Neil Walker (Mets)

All ten players will have seven days to either accept or reject the offer, with next Monday at 5 p.m. being the deadline. If a player accepts the offer, he will return to his team on a 1-year, $17.2 million contract. If the player declines, he will hit free agency and the team will receive a compensatory pick if he signs elsewhere.
