The Marlins have signed veteran infielder Tyler Moore.

Moore will be headed to the minors for Miami as he comes off of a disappointing 2015 season in Washington. The 29-year old hit .203/.250/.364 with six home runs over 97 games in a Nationals uniform. While he’s no glamours acquisition, Moore could become a big part of the Marlins Spring Training roster.

Here’s what else is happening around the National League East:

Fun fact: Did you know that Bono wrote “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” about the Mets and their hunt for a closer? Well okay he didn’t, but he totally could have, because New York needs an arm to come out of the bullpen and seal the deal. Luckily, they have options...sorta.

The Phillies have agreed to a one-year contract with slugger Andres Blanco.

The Braves really, really, really, like Dansby Swanson so don’t even think about asking for him in a trade deal.

Derek Norris didn’t have an ideal 2016 with the Padres, including the team’s issues with general manager A.J. Preller. But the catcher swears that he’s back and ready for blood hits in his new home of Washington.

Whether you like it or not, it’s time to make peace with the fact that the Marlins have signed Jeff Locke. Get the low down and all other deetz you could need on the pitcher right here.
