The Padres signed Jhoulys Chacin to a one-year deal Saturday afternoon:

Chacin, who turns 29 next month, joins Christian Friedrich, Luis Perdomo, Paul Clemens and Jarred Cosart in a rotation group that is likely to see more veterans added before Opening Day. The trades of Andrew Cashner, Drew Pomeranz and James Shields last season along with the non-tendering of Ross has left San Diego very weak in terms of starting depth.

Los Angeles might be willing to include prospect Jose De Leon in a potential trade for Brian Dozier.

It seems the Tigers are hoping to sign Alex Avila:

Minnesota is open to trading Brian Dozier, but the package has to be significant:

The Orioles are not close to adding Mark Trumbo:
