NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — The Orioles and Mets are discussing trade scenarios involving Mets outfielders Curtis Granderson and Jay Bruce, according to FOXSports.com’s Ken Rosenthal.

Rosenthal reports that the Orioles prefer Granderson over Bruce in talks, and that the Mets are targeting reliever Brad Brach. New York is looking to trade an outfielder in the wake of re-signing Yoenis Cespedes, and has been shopping both Granderson and Bruce in recent days.

The Mets would prefer to deal Bruce instead of Granderson, but are receiving stronger interest in Bruce. New York is known to be looking for bullpen help, and has been linked to many free-agent options in addition to Brach.

Over the weekend, reports surfaced that the Mets were “positioned to move quickly” on deals involving Granderson and Bruce, so something could get done in the near future. Baltimore is known to be looking into free-agent options as well, with reported interest in Michael Saunders and Mark Trumbo.
