NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. -- The Braves are in agreement on a minor-league contract with lefty reliever Eric O’Flaherty, a source told SB Nation late Tuesday. He received an invite to major-league camp.
O’Flaherty struggled to a 6.91 ERA in 28.2 innings out of Atlanta’s bullpen last season after being acquired from the Pirates before Opening Day. He will once again provide a left-handed depth option for the Braves, who also signed Jacob Lindgren earlier in the week. Lindgren is expected to miss most of next season due to Tommy John surgery.
O’Flaherty is a veteran of 11 major-league seasons with four clubs, owning a career 3.51 ERA in that span.
