Good morning baseball fans!
The three team deal that was going to send Jay Bruce to the Blue Jays fell through.
In what could be a weird coincidence, this reported deal came together on the same day that outfielder Jose Bautista said that he wasn't will to negotiate and has set a number for what it would take to bring him back to Toronto next season.
And it's apparently a five-year deal worth more than $30 million per year. Daily reminder that Bautista turns 36 in October.
Dave Cameron says "Joey Bats" isn't worth $150 million.
Minnesota is banking it all on the kids to keep them in the hunt for the AL Central.
The Orioles deal with Yovani Gallardo is in doubt due to physical concerns, which is nothing new for the Orioles.
But the Orioles got some other business done yesterday, inking Dexter Fowler to a three-year, $35 million deal.
Detroit inked Casey McGehee to a minor-league deal.
The Nationals have explored extension possibilities for Bryce Harper. Yeah, good luck with that!
Here are some of baseball's most underrated prospects.
Cliff Lee is likely to retire after his comeback bid has come to a close.
