After a 14-inning loss to the San Diego Padres, the Diamondbacks knew they were going to need some bullpen help. In order to do that, the Diamondbacks brought up Archie Bradley and Evan Marshall.
Manager Chip Hale said on Sunday that it hasn't been determined if Shelby Miller will be able to make his start, although Bradley made the start last night against the Giants.
More from around the National League West:
- Pablo Sandoval's time in San Francisco is over, but details of his eating issues from his time with the Giants have surfaced. During his time in SF, the Giants were so concerned about Sandoval that they made arrangements at their hotels to not allow him to order room service.
- Padres fans are finally able to cut the cord, as Fox Sports San Diego will now stream games live through Sling TV.
- Isaac Marks of Purple Row made an early evaluation of the Rockies pitching staff.
- Andy McCullough had his weekly mailbag over at LATimes.com, and a major topic was the idea that Joc Pederson start against left-handed pitchers. McCullough also discussed potential relievers the Dodgers could go after, getting Chris Sale (including having Adam LaRoche bench coach the Dodgers) and what pitchers will join the bullpen when a plethora of starters come back.
