John Harper of the New York Daily News broke down his ten best deals in Mets franchise history, and there's one that has already made the list. That would be the trade that sent Travis d'Arnaud and Noah Syndergaard to the Mets and Toronto got R.A. Dickey back in return.
It's a deal that has shaped the current state of the Mets franchise, and a trade that, at the time, made some Mets fans worry about the future. There's also one from last season that makes the list (you'll have to check it out for yourself).
More from around the National League East:
- The growing consensus from national baseball writers is that the Phillies are soon to be a monster team to fear in the National League.
- The Braves added Ryan Weber to their bullpen, manly to have the flexibility in their pen' going forward, needing a long reliever.
- Oliver Perez is sporting a new look on the back of his baseball jersey, something that he only started during his first of two years with the Diamondbacks.
- For only the forth time ever, which is quite remarkable, Jose Fernandez and Giancarlo Stanton are both in the same lineup. Healthy issues have kept the two from being on the field together, and when both are going, the Marlins are a tough match-up.
