Combine left-fielder Alex Gordon's injury and the lack of production from right-field, and the perfect recipe is created for the Royals to start looking outside for help. According to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe, the Royals might be starting to look outside to upgrade right field.

The two external options at the top of the list? Braves outfielder Nick Markakis and Reds slugger Jay Bruce. Money could be an issue for Kansas City, with their payroll being around $137 million already, and they don't have any draft picks to move to potentially offload some salary.
