NL West Notes: Carlos Gonzalez trade rumors, Giants reliever targets

While teams haven’t expressed much interest in Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez to this point, that could change in the near future.

Even though Colorado has played close to five-hundred baseball, the club is expected to field offers for Gonzalez, according to FanRag Sports’ Jon Heyman.

The calls haven’t started coming in for Carlos Gonzalez. The Rockies are expected to listen, though they are playing pretty well at the moment. “It’s nice to focus on winning,” GM Jeff Bridich said.

If the Rockies feel they can upgrade their roster at a reasonable price leading up to the deadline, they could be buyers. Regardless, Gonzalez will likely be linked to a number of teams in the coming weeks.
