Despite comments from general manager Brian Cashman, the Yankees should begin to reload and build for the future, especially when their recent draft history isn’t very good.
Their best asset to trade right now: Carlos Beltran. The 39-year-old leads the team in batting average, home runs and RBI’s and could provide value to some team that is vying for a playoff berth.
Going a step further, they also have Aroldis Chapman and Andrew Miller to move, along with the likes of Brett Gardner, CC Sabathia and Brian McCann. All of that is under the pretext of the team thing beyond the 2016 season.
