Good morning baseball fans!

Atlanta, despite struggling this season, is considering trading for Chris Sale before the deadline:

Although the Braves have spent the last two years dealing away veterans, general manager John Coppolella has publicly stated that the team would have interest in adding controllable starting pitching at this year’s trade deadline. Teams like the Red Sox and Rangers were rumored to have some interest in Sale, though the ChiSox are requiring a massive return in talks.

Chicago’s asking price is “prohibitive,” according to an executive who has talked to them about Sale in recent days. The White Sox are looking for five top-level prospects, according to industry sources.

The Yankees are close to trading Aroldis Chapman but will keep Andrew Miller.
