It’s been a common idea thrown around all-season long for the Angels: trade Mike Trout. At the beginning of the season, it was a laughable idea. As the season wore on, and the Angels began to look very bad, the idea didn’t seem so laughable.
All of that being said, there are still too many reasons for why trading Trout would be a bad idea for the Angels.
More from around the American League West:
- Teams mostly buy at the deadline in order to add to their team, either in the rotation, bullpen or lineup. For some teams, they are able to add from within, saving themselves money and prospects. That’s what the Rangers have done by calling back up Joey Gallo.
- A’s reliever Sean Doolittle played invisible baseball with a young fan, and it is all you could ever want it to be.
- There is an Astros fan that is raising money in order to buyout outfielder Carlos Gomez’s contract. Yeah, it’s real.
- There was a story this past weekend that talked about the Mariners clubhouse dues’, with the White Sox protesting them. Well, they aren’t alone, as the Indians and Rangers have joined the list of teams protesting this very confusing situation.
