An August 1 deal saw starter Rich Hill and outfielder Josh Reddick head off to LA. Reddick started off his Dodgers tenure with a 2-for-27 streak before knocking in two hits during a game on Wednesday. While Hill still hasn’t throw a pitch for the Dodgers, as he is dealing with a blister injury.

Some fans are already starting to call the trade a bust, and it doesn’t help that one of the prospects they traded back almost throw a Triple-A perfect game.

More from around the National League West:

  • The lineup is already without Trevor Story, and Mark Reynolds is likely to join him on the disabled list, leaving the Rockies wondering what they are going to do at first base.
  • Grant Brisbee of McCovey Chronicles tried to diagnose what is wrong with the Giants lineup.
  • A change in where he holds his hand during his stance is what Padres outfielder Jabari Blash is hoping will lead him to success.
  • Normally, the Diamondbacks pitch baseballs. Well now, they need to pitch upgrades to their stadiums to an entire city. Not an easy feat.
