The documentary “The Dark Side” was produced by Al Jazeera and takes a look into the world of doping and athletics. “The Dark Side” first hit the headlines when a statement made in the documentary alleged that football player Peyton Manning used PEDs.
Charlie Sly, mentioned in the MLB press release, once worked in the pharmaceutical industry as an intern between 2010 and 2013, according to the Washington Post. The same Washington Post article states that Sly posted a video on YouTube denying that Al Jazeera had permission to use statements made about players.
