Good morning baseball fans!
The Red Sox bullpen is a hot mess, to put it lightly. Could the return of Jonathan Papelbon to Fenway be the team's saving grace?
That's not the only drama happening in the AL East. The Orioles are losing ground in the divisional race and are scrambling to make waiver wire moves. Unfortunately for them, the Yankees are being particularly aggressive.
On Sunday, the Dodgers placed Yasiel Puig on revocable trade waivers. His career in Los Angeles has the potential to be over in the next few hours.
"Puig, of course, was demoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City after the Dodgers acquired Josh Reddick from the Athletics amid concerns about Puig’s role in the team’s clubhouse. Despite an early incident involving offensive material on his Snapchat account, Puig has reportedly received positive reviews as a teammate at Triple-A while hitting .382/.440/.645 with five home runs in 22 games."
Here’s what’s currently going down in the NL East.
Mat Latos will join the Nationals come September.
