The Orioles have acquired outfielder Michael Bourn from the Diamondbacks for outfielder Jason Heinrich, according to a team announcement.

Bourn is the second outfield addition of the day for the O’s, who also claimed Drew Stubbs off release waivers from the Rangers. Bourn and Stubbs will provide depth behind Hyun-soo Kim, Nolan Reimold, Adam Jones and Steve Pearce in the team’s bullpen, as Jones is dealing with a hamstring strain and Joey Rickard is suffering from a thumb injury.

Bourn, 33, has hit .261/.307/.362 with three homers in 89 games with Arizona this season since signing as a minor-league free agent in mid-May. Bourn was cut by the Braves out of spring training before being signed and subsequently released by the Blue Jays shortly after. He has been surprisingly productive for Arizona and will be a free agent after the season.

Heinrich, 20, was the Orioles’ 5th-round pick last year and has hit .231/.301/.347 in 44 games for Low-A Aberdeen this year. He is not considered a top prospect despite being ranked highly in advance of last year’s draft.
