Another day. Another dose of bad news if you are a Mets fan. This time the news revolves around Jacob deGrom’s arm. At first the injury was considered not serious, and that deGrom would be able to pitch again.
As time has passed, that is coming into question. The Mets right hander could potentially begin throwing on Wednesday. He is still slated to miss at least two starts, if not more for the Mets, who are just one game back of the second wild card spot in the NL.
More from around the National League East:
- Christian Yelich is finding himself atop the Marlins leaderboard in a number of different categories and a lot of it is because of work with hitting coach Barry Bonds.
- While the Braves 2016 season hasn’t had many bright spots, one might be Adonis Garcia making his case to keep the third-baseman job when 2017 rolls around.
- In getting lefty reliever Marc Rzepczynski from the A’s, the Nationals found themselves seeing the price that you have to pay to win a championship.
- The Phillies farm system is filled with impressive numbers that should give fans some confidence for the future.
