The Rangers have considered extensions for Jonathan Lucroy and Yu Darvish:
Though the Rangers have had “informal” discussions about an extension for catcher Jonathan Lucroy, the club plans to discuss extensions with both Lucroy and Yu Darvish in the coming weeks, Texas General Manager Jon Daniels said on 1310 The Ticket, a Dallas radio station.
Kansas City is searching for an inexpensive starting pitching option, and Jason Hammel might be the ideal candidate, according to Nick Cafardo of The Boston Globe.
The Red Sox could eventually pursue a pitcher who can pitch in starting and relief roles like Clay Buchholz did, according to ESPN’s Buster Olney.
Cleveland could consider signing Rajai Davis, but the Indians might not be able afford Davis, according to Terry Pluto of The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
If the Blue Jays are able to re-sign Jose Bautista, the club might consider trading Brett Gardner, according to Richard Griffin of The Toronto Star.
