Monday marked the deadline for teams to extend qualifying offers to pending free agents, enabling draft pick compensation. The exact rules are complicated, so our Cristiana Caruso wrote a primer on exactly what that all means.
These players will have 10 days to decide if they will return to their 2017 clubs on a one-year, $17.4 million deal or test free agency while attached to draft pick compensation:
