Free agent outfielder Jay Bruce will be seeking a hefty raise this offseason.

The outfielder is reportedly looking to sign a five-year deal in the range of $80-90 million, according to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN. Bruce made $13 million this season as a member of the Mets and Indians.

Bruce was traded prior to the waiver deadline when the Mets waved the white flag, and provided a quality power bat in and Indians lineup that was supposed to compete for a World Series title. Bruce hit two home runs while posting a 1.000 OPS in the Indians’ five game loss to the Yankees in the ALDS.

The 30-year-old finished the regular season with 36 home runs, the second consecutive season he eclipsed the 30 home run mark.

The contract expectations for Bruce come shortly after fellow free agent slugger J.D. Martinez reportedly expressed a desire for a contract near the $200 million mark.
