  • San Diego signed Jered Weaver to a one-year deal.

  • Dellin Betances lost his arbitration hearing, and the Yankees weren’t please with the amount he was seeking.

  • The Cardinals are discussing a contract extension with catcher Yadier Molina.

  • Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun made a change to his no-trade clause during the offseason, according to Tom Haudricourt of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

  • Chase Utley’s contract with the Dodgers includes $600,000 worth of incentives, according to FanRag Sports’ Jon Heyman.

  • The Red Sox are not considering trading Brock Holt, who is reportedly drawing interest, according to Nick Cafardo of The Boston Globe.

  • Detroit hired former infielder Don Kelly as an assistant to player development, the club announced.

  • Kansas City is planning to use Alex Gordon at all three outfield positions during spring training, according to MLB.com’s Jeffrey Flanagan.
