The Dodgers traded reliever Chris Hatcher to the Athletics for $500k in international bonus pool money Tuesday, according to a team announcement.
Hatcher, 32, has worked to a 4.66 ERA and 4.25 FIP in 36.2 innings out of the Dodgers’ bullpen this season while missing some time with arm trouble. The seven-year veteran is under control through the 2019 season, giving Oakland two years of his services.
Hatcher owns a career 4.72 ERA in 193 relief appearances with the Marlins (2011-14) and Dodgers (2015-17) and was originally acquired by Los Angeles in the 6-player deal that sent Dee Gordon to Miami at the 2014 winter meetings.
