Contest! Become your team’s mock general manager for a season

Our newest contest warrants your best “Brian Cashman thinking face”.

MLB: Detroit Tigers at New York Yankees Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

It’s been an exciting last month for baseball. The future of each franchise was cast as general managers (hopefully) traded for all the right players...or just royally screwed up, either one. Did any of the deal shock you? How would you have handled the trade deadline? Well, now we’re giving you the chance to tell us.

We’ve partnered with Out of the Park Baseball to put you in the general manager’s seat of you team, or any team you’d like to manage. In a FanPost, tell us from Opening Day on what you’d do with your team. Trades you’d make, contracts you’d drop or take, your draft and August deadline strategy, even how what you’re doing will win you a World Series title.

Out of all the FanPosts, we’ll randomly select one faux GM to win a copy of Out of the Park Baseball 18. OOTP is a baseball management game that puts you in charge of all the duties of the front office and dugout. You even get to establish your minor-league roster. As you play, the game simulates how your changes have altered your team’s success. You can even manage teams from the past, all the way back to 1871! For the most detailed sports game out there, give Out of the Park Baseball, and their other simulated sports games, a look.

The contest starts today and will run until 11:59pm on October 13th. Good luck!
