It’s officially awards seasons, folks. There are always bound to be snubs among the winners, as we just saw with the Golden Gloves. But there are also dark horses who come out of nowhere and snatch the title.
There are the obvious winners: Matt Chapman led all MLB third basemen in WAR, Mike Trout (I mean, duh) holds first place in OPS, J.D. Martinez was this year’s RBI king at 130 and total bases, and Mookie Betts led the league in batting average. But will someone who has only been on the cusp of discussion pull through for the hardware?
Which player do you think will steal the title away from some of the more marquee players in their position?
