Back in the spring of 2013, I stumbled upon MLB Daily Dish and decided I wanted to contribute. I reached out to Justin Bopp, asking for a spot on the masthead. He said yes, and MLBDD became (what I thought would be) a fun little side project while I finished out high school.
Five years and what seems like thousands of posts later, this will be my last here at MLBDD. I’m excited to announce I’ve accepted a job back home, joining MassLive.com as a Red Sox beat writer, starting May 29.
I’d especially like to thank Justin for giving me a platform in the first place and being a fantastic boss and friend, even if we’ve somehow still never met. I’ll miss what I think is the strongest staff we’ve had in my time here (Anthony, Chad, Cristiana, Jon, Patrick, Ryan and Simon) and my great teammates on the SBNation.com side, regardless of my disdain for the dad jokes in Slack. SB Nation has been an awesome place to call home, and I can’t wait to see what the talented staff here will continue to produce.
Thanks for reading, loyal Dishers. Keep reading the great work here (as long as you check out MassLive as well).
