This offseason has been nothing short of slow and tense while we wait for the two biggest free agents on the market to chose a team, The Bachelor style.
The overwhelming amount of speculation and recklessness shuffled through the rumor mill finally reach a breaking point tonight. Manny Machado’s agent, Dan Lozano, issued a statement about his client and the subsequent carelessness that has gone into the reporting of many of those rumors.

Lozano, founder of the agency MVP Sports Group, specifically called out reporters who have been spreading, “completely wrong”, contract details about the young All-Star, and does a, “disservice to fans everywhere.”
The Players Association Collective Bargaining Agreement directly prohibits any type of negotiation or offer through the media, as Lozano states, and he, “will continue to respect the CBA’s prohibition...and hope that others would do the same.”
The Manny Machado Saga has become the Internet’s latest project, with fans everywhere speculating his every move. The deal will come eventually, by some means, but it doesn’t expedite the process by regurgitating dozens of fake sources to make things interesting.
