Your guide to watching as much baseball as possible on Opening Day.

Opening Day awaits. With three games tapped for Sunday and 12 more scheduled for Monday, the last thing you want to be doing is flipping through channels trying to find your game. And, if your game means all the games, we've got you covered.

If you also want a look at the projected lineup for not only your team, but the opposing team, we've got you covered there. Or the opposing pitching staff for the upcoming series? That too. For good measure, we've hooked you up with the one story line for every team heading into the season too. In short, we got you fam.

Opening Night will actually begin during the day. With three must-see games on tap, the MLB wants to monopolize your entire Sunday this time around; not just the evening. Six teams will take the field in offsetting games so you can hopefully watch every pitch.

22 of the remaining teams are all scheduled for the following day: the official Opening Day of the 2016 season. Between Sunday and Monday, that means only a pair of teams will be waiting to play their first game: the Detroit Tigers and Miami Marlins. With games varying from very early afternoon to very late evening, make sure you file away your 'dibs' on the television early. I mean, what else is on on Mondays? Supergirl? PVR IT!

Only two sleeps until Opening Day. Here's one player to watch on every roster.

Opening Day begins Sunday at 1:05pm ET with the Pittsburgh Pirates hosting against the St. Louis Cardinals. For all your viewing concerns, check in on the schedule here. If you also want a look at the projected lineup for not only your team, but the opposing team, we've got you covered there. Or the opposing pitching staff for the upcoming series? That too. For good measure, we've also hooked you up with the one storyline for every team heading into the season.

With Opening Day just around the corner, who are some must-watch players on every roster?

Sure, you've got your Mike Trouts and your Bryce Harpers. You've got your Clayton Kershaws and your Chris Sales. But, unfortunately, not every team has one of those guys. Players that could break records are -- and this should follow intuitively -- kind of rare.

The following then, is a list of the slightly lesser-known talents. The ones that may start the season in Triple-A. The ones that might just be somewhere on the depth chart. One for each fanbase to look for throughout the season, sorted by division and by our standings predictions.

AL East

Boston Red Sox: He's already taken Pablo Sandoval's starting job, can Travis Shaw continue to build on last year's successes?

Toronto Blue Jays: Just given the fifth spot in the rotation, the only thing holding Aaron Sanchez back will be his innings limit.

New York Yankees: In a rotation where everyone has at least one question mark attached to them, Luis Severino might be relied upon for some stability.

Tampa Bay Rays: The second-best left-handed pitching prospect in all of baseball, Blake Snell might still be a little while away from his major league debut. But we know how the Rays are with pitchers, right?

Baltimore Orioles: Out of minor league options, there's an awful lot of unfair pressure on Dylan Bundy to perform. Luckily for him, he's got the talent and the Orioles rotation doesn't seem especially difficult to crack.

AL Central

Cleveland Indians: Maybe his days of starting are over, but finally making a transition to the bullpen could propel Trevor Bauer to stardom.

Kansas City Royals: Someone will probably need to relieve Omar Infante of his duties at second base. Why not the youngster who made his major league debut in the World Series: Raul Mondesi?

Chicago White Sox: 140 innings last year and ready for his breakout, Carlos Rodon could be a major key to the White Sox's success this season.

Detroit Tigers: Currently shelved with a back injury, Daniel Norris could begin paying substantial dividends on that David Price trade.

Minnesota Twins: Surrounded by two superstar prospects, the spotlight is off of Eduardo Escobar to succeed with a full season at shortstop.

AL West

Houston Astros: Getting the starting job at first base was only the beginning for Tyler White.

Texas Rangers: With such a strong farm system, there are a couple names to watch. Nomar Mazara seems like he might be the most well-rounded and MLB-ready candidate.

Seattle Mariners: Taijuan Walker may have broken out last year. Suppressing that home run to flyball rate and increasing his strand rate to league average norms could make 2015 look forgettable.

Los Angeles Angels: Out of necessity, Andrew Heaney might be relied on for a breakout. But that doesn't make it unlikely.

Oakland Athletics: Billy Burns could lead the American League in stolen bases this season.

NL East

New York Mets: Add one more arm to the super rotation in Steven Matz.

Washington Nationals: Arguably the best prospect in all of baseball, Lucas Giolito might get his call to The Show early.

Miami Marlins: A catcher that can actually steal bases? Now all J.T. Realmuto has to do his get his on-base numbers up to what they were in the minors.

Philadelphia Phillies: A full season of spring training hero Maikel Franco? Oh my.

Atlanta Braves: Arodys Vizcaino could end up being the closer of their future. Or just an ezcellent trade chip at the deadline.

NL Central

Chicago Cubs: Kyle Schwarber cements himself as one of the best hitters in baseball. The Cubs just need to figure out a way to introduce the designated hitter into the National League.

Pittsburgh Pirates: Free from Coors Field, Juan Nicasio finally finds a way to strike every batter he faces out without worrying about the longball.

St. Louis Cardinals: A full season of Stephen Piscotty will lengthen the Cardinals Devil Magic.

Milwaukee Brewers: In his sophomore season, Taylor Jungmann could be the player Brewers fans hang some of their hopes on.

Cincinnati Reds: A young rotation will have a lot of hope pinned to it. Raisel Iglesias should be a treat to watch bloom.

NL West

Los Angeles Dodgers: Could there be any more hype already for Corey Seager? Let's put some more out there.

San Francisco Giants: Pick some player from their system that you think would never make it and they'll be dynamite. It just has to be Hunter Strickland this year, right?

Arizona Diamondbacks: This might be the year Jake Lamb puts himself into the same conversations as Paul Goldschmidt and A.J. Pollock. And not just because they're all on the same team.

San Diego Padres: This is the year everyone learns how to spell Cory Spangenberg.

Colorado Rockies: Plenty of youth to look forward to, but Trevor Story seems to be the most exciting. And pun worthy.

The strange injuries of Will Smith and Jason Heyward remind of us some of the other crazy things that felled ballplayers in seasons past.

Brewers reliever Will Smith has many talents. Apparently, taking off his shoes is not one of them. Smith tore a ligament in his knee while removing his cleats the other day, telling reporters, "I pulled hard (on the shoe) and it stayed on. My knee just went up and popped." Weird. Always untie your shoes first, kids.

Smith, who is utterly dominant when he has his cleats on, will be out for what Craig Counsell says is "significant time," and may require surgery. Smith represented Milwaukee's best trade chit, and could have been a really great player to move at the deadline this year for the rebuilding club. All of that seems pretty up in the air for the moment.

Then beads...wait, no, bees attacked Jason Heyward, stinging him more than 20 times and briefly turning him into Will Smith (no, the other one):

UPDATE: And now, we learn that Matt Harvey was on the verge of being held out of Opening Day because of a bladder infection that led to blood clots in his bladder, caused by holding in his pee for too long between bathroom breaks.

Anyway, Smith, Heyward, and Harvey's misfortunes give us the opportunity to remember some of the craziest off-the-field injuries in baseball history. We'll limit ourselves to injuries that resulted in missing actual major league games, so sadly, we won't be talking about the time Hunter Pence walked through a closed sliding glass door. Anyway, here they are, in reverse chronological order:

2013 - Carl Pavano

Pavano was still looking for work coming off of a bad and injury-plagued 2012 when he was shoveling his driveway over the winter. He slipped and fell, jamming the shovel's handle into his abdomen. Though it hurt like hell, Pavano didn't go to the doctor for another four days, when he felt "a sudden wave of abdominal pain and nausea. He had lacerated his spleen and was bleeding internally the whole time. His lung collapsed. He was rushed to surgery where doctors removed his spleen entirely, and had six and a half liters of blood drained from his chest cavity. He subsequently retired and has, hopefully, since bought a snowblower.

2012 - Jonathan Lucroy

The list of players injured by their suitcases is long and includes Dennis Martinez in 1992, Rick Aguilera in 1996, and Jonathan Lucroy in 2012. Most of these are back or shoulder problems. Lucroy's is probably the most interesting, however, because it's a broken hand. Apparently reaching for a sock under the bed, Lucroy didn't see his wife messing with the suitcases on his bed. One fell directly onto him. He tried to hide the injury, but was unable to grip a bat.He wound up on the DL for several weeks.

2010 - Geoff Blum

Utility infielder Geoff Blum somehow lasted parts of 14 years in the majors despite not being a good shortstop and having a career OPS+ of 81. That's only slightly more amazing than the fact that he was put on the DL for an injury he suffered while putting on a shirt. Blum was defensive, "There are probably 90 percent of us in the big leagues that have loose bodies floating around. I just so happens that after the game, it tightened up on me. The shirt had nothing to do with the damn injury." Ok buddy. He went on the DL.

2006 - Joel Zumaya

Nobody has ever been more snakebit than Joel Zumaya, the flamethrowing Tigers reliever whose body was simply never meant to do more than sit in front of a desk all day. His weirdest injury, by far, happened during the playoffs in 2006, when the rookie strained his wrist by playing too much Guitar Hero. As a Fallout fan, I sympathize. My thumbs are sore.

2002 - Marty Cordova

Maybe the Orioles were playing a lot of night games in early 2002, but Marty Cordova was apparently frustrated by how pale he was becoming. So he went tanning. Unfortunately, given that his job kept him up late, he was also very tired. So he fell asleep in the tanning bed, burning his face so badly that doctors advised him to stay out of the sun for a few days. Cordova sat out for one game, DH'ed, and then sat out again.

1994 - Steve Sparks

Some people look at a phone book and would never try to rip it in half, because that seems like a waste of a perfectly good phone book (kids, phone books are those giant books that you throw straight into the recycling bin when you get them; they used to be a thing). Some people look at a phone book as a mountain that must be climbed or a jungle that must be tamed. Steve Sparks belongs to this latter group, as he attempted to rip a Yellow Pages in twain during Spring Training, and only succeeded in separating his shoulder. He did not make the club. Ma Bell 1, Steve Sparks 0.

1993 - Rickey Henderson

In addition to being one of the greatest ballplayers in the history of baseball, Rickey is also one of the most talked about. If you think of your Mount Rushmore of guys who are the subject of the best baseball anecdotes, it basically boils down to Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Yogi Berra, and Rickey. One of my favorites happened in August of 1993, just after he was traded to the Blue Jays, when he fell asleep with an ice pack on his foot. He suffered frostbite and was out for three games.

1990 - Glenallen Hill

Hill showed up at the ballpark on crutches in early July, with bruises, cuts, and rugburn on his feet, legs, and elbows. The night before, he claimed to have had a nightmare, "I have a phobia about spiders. In the nightmare, I was trying to get away from spiders. In his sleep, he ran out of his bedroom, crashed through a glass table, and "bounced off a wall." He woke up on his couch with his wife screaming. He was placed on the disabled list. The previous year, Jays pitcher David Wells had a similar issue, putting his hand through a window while sleepwalking and requiring five stitches to fix the thumb on his left hand, which is kind of important for a pitcher. No word on what Wells was dreaming about.

1983 - George Brett

The Royals had managed to get themselves above .500 by early June, struggling to keep pace with the Chicago White Sox. It was an off day and Brett was at home doing laundry and watching the Cubs game on WGN, like most right-thinking Americans in 1983. "I heard Harry Caray in the next room mention Bill Buckner was coming to bat," he told reporters. "I've been a Bill Buckner fan for a long time, and he's a good friend and I wanted to see what he did. So I kind of jogged into the room real quick. You know how it is, everybody does it about once a week. I kicked the side of the door jam. I loked down at my toe and it was sticking out kind of funny." He had broken his toe, went on the DL, and missed 19 games. Weirdly, when he came back, the Royals tried him in the outfield before things went back to normal.

1904 - Malachi Kittridge

This story may be apocryphal, but it was reported in the Pittsburgh Press at the time and it's so fun I can't not include it. The Washington Senators were run at the time by a bungling vice president named William Dwyer. According to the Press, probably because of the team's financial problems, Dwyer started paying all the players in cash. And not just in large bills. Third baseman Bill Coughlin received his entire salary of $200 entirely in one dollar bills. Kittridge, who was the team's catcher had been its player-manager until it started 1-16, wasn't so lucky. Dwyer paid him his $300 "mostly in dimes and nickels, so Malachi said. He carried his load in his pockets until he sprained an ankle, and that was the beginning of Malachi's troubles. Because of this lameness, Kittridge missed the train out of New York by six inches. With a hook he could have caught the rear platform at that, but he was too lame, and, besides, the curse of wealth held him back. From this mishap grew the complications which led to the suspension of the coin-laden catcher." God, the old days were great/awful.

Feel free to bring up/argue for better examples of ridiculous baseball injuries in the usual place (that place being the comment section).

The Mets aren't saying much about what's going on with their ace, but have shut him down for the rest of Spring Training.

Well, this is confusing. Matt Harvey has been shut down for the rest of spring training, his status for Opening Day is in doubt, and the Mets aren't saying why. They are saying that he has a non-orthopedic doctor's appointment though, so that's potentially kind of ominous. Or maybe not! We don't know! It's a mystery.

Anyway, Harvey returned from Tommy John surgery last year to headline a fantastic quartet of young Mets pitchers, with a 2.71 ERA and a 3.05 FIP in 189.1 innings, while striking out 188. Even at Citi Field, it was an impressive performance. He was also a stalwart performer in the postseason, winning twice in four starts, with a 3.04 ERA and 27 Ks in 26.2 innings. He's being counted on to build on that to anchor the staff in 2016.

If Harvey is unable to pitch on Opening Day, presumably the honor would fall to Jacob deGrom or Noah Syndergaard to start the new season off right. With three off days in the first five days of the season, the Mets aren't in a bad spot. The earliest they'd need a fifth starter is on April 13. If Harvey's out for longer, Logan Verrett, who worked as a spot starter last year for the Mets, and who has had a decent spring may be in line to join the starting rotation.

In the interim, all of this is super weird. Obviously, we hope that Harvey is healthy and that, whatever this is, it doesn't have long term implications for the young pitcher's career.

UPDATE: Good news, as the mysterious health issue turned out to be relatively minor, and totally hilarious. Harvey has an infection that was causing blood clots to form in his bladder. Harvey reports that the infection was caused by holding in his urine too long. Which...wow. I have so many questions:

Is this a Samson, cutting his hair thing, where he fears he'll lose his power if he pees?

Is he part of some bizarre urine-hording cult?

Is he a germaphobe who can only pee at home?

How was he not taught about this before now?

Should this be part of the Mets' minor league instruction going forward?

Anyway, expect to receive a catheter in your locker tomorrow from helpful teammates, Matt.

The upshot of all of this is that Harvey will not miss any time. He'll throw tomorrow and is still on track to make his Opening Day start, provided he takes an appropriate number of bathroom breaks in the interim.

With Opening Day less than a week away, what are the most captivating storylines for each team?

Six teams will begin their season this upcoming Sunday. The best teams in baseball last season -- The St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates -- will kick things off at 1:05 ET when Adam Wainwright and Francisco Liriano take the hill.

An AL East rivalry and international game will follow with the Toronto Blue Jays taking on the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg at 4:05 ET. The expected starters are none other than Marcus Stroman and Chris Archer.

And, if that isn't enough for you, the evening game will be a World Series rematch. The Kansas City Royals will play host to the New York Mets only five months after beating them on baseball's biggest stage. Furthermore, they'll wear these sweet jerseys.

All 30 teams will either have a winning or losing record by the end of Monday, April 4th. We're that close to baseball. With that in mind, let's take a look at the one storyline to know for every team sorted by division and our standings predictions.

AL East

Boston Red Sox: If there's a team that could go worst to first, it seems that the Red Sox are the most likely contenders. Can they win one last title for David Ortiz?

Toronto Blue Jays: Can their pitching depth be good enough to avoid their lack of an ace? Or will it even matter with that batting lineup?

New York Yankees: Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller, and Aroldis Chapman all in one bullpen. How far can a historically great bullpen get the Yankees, or could there be too many cooks in the kitchen?

Tampa Bay Rays: Arguably the best rotation in the division, if the Rays are still in the hunt by August they could benefit substantially from Alex Cobb's return.

Baltimore Orioles: The Orioles spent a lot of money this offseason. Are they that much better for it?

AL Central

Cleveland Indians: Can the team survive in the standings long enough without Michael Brantley?

Kansas City Royals: Proving the doubters wrong was 2015's storyline, wasn't it? It looks like they'll have to do it again.

Chicago White Sox: If the White Sox falter out of the gate, this Drake LaRoche story might go on for even longer. Even further, if Chris Sale and Kenny Williams can't settle their differences, the former might find himself in some other kind of rumor.

Detroit Tigers: Could aging superstars mean one last kick at the can? Or has the rest of the AL Central just finally caught up with the Tigers?

Minnesota Twins: After a surprise 2015 campaign and some inactivity this winter, the Twins will hinge their efforts on two of the best young talents in the game: Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano.

AL West

Houston Astros: Maybe Jeff Luhnow saved some payroll this winter for a push at the trade deadline instead. Or maybe locking up Carlos Correa long-term is already on his mind.

Texas Rangers: Can Yu Darvish bounce back from Tommy John surgery to be one of the best one-two punches in the sport with Cole Hamels? Can Ian Desmond rejuvenate his career as an outfielder?

Seattle Mariners: Did Jerry Dipoto do enough to turn the Mariners into the contender they were supposed to be in 2015? If Felix Hernandez and Robinson Cano return to their superstar forms, it might not matter.

Los Angeles Angels: Mike Trout will turn 25 in August. A nice birthday gift might be the rest of the team actually performing well at that time of year. Nothing like wasting some prime years of one of the best players to ever play the game.

Oakland Athletics: After a very disappointing 2015 season, the Athletics shuffled some things around in their typical savvy fashion. However, the rotation's success seems to depend an awful lot on Sonny Gray.

NL East

New York Mets: The team that seems to have perfected the super rotation. Could they follow in the same footsteps as the 2016 Royals?

Washington Nationals: Apparently Jonathan Papelbon and Bryce Harper have settled their differences. Even if they haven't, Dusty Baker might be able to manage the egos a bit better. But a winning record would certainly help.

Miami Marlins: They have never had Giancarlo Stanton and Jose Fernandez healthy together for a long period of time. Can this be the year?

Philadelphia Phillies: The rebuild is on, but that doesn't mean the team won't be exciting. Maikel Franco's red hot spring has already produced plenty of excitement. Add another full season of Odubel Herrera and waiting for J.P. Crawford's call-up and you've got the Phillies youth movement.

Atlanta Braves: John Coppolella continues to insist he has a plan. With the farm system very well stocked but still quite a distance from major league ready, is it in the Braves' plan to part ways with Freddie Freeman and Ender Inciarte?

NL Central

Chicago Cubs: 1908 doesn't seem so far away now, does it?

Pittsburgh Pirates: The NL Central yielded the best three teams in baseball last season. Can the smaller market Pirates keep pace with the Cubs and Cardinals for a second straight season?

St. Louis Cardinals: The Cardinals haven't missed the postseason since 2010. If it was possible, the division got even harder heading into 2016. Could the Cardinals streak finally run its course?

Milwaukee Brewers: With little hope of contending in the very near future, will the Brewers find the highest bidder for Jonathan Lucroy or Ryan Braun?

Cincinnati Reds: A young rotation could be an exciting storyline, but the trade availability of Joey Votto, Brandon Phillips, and Jay Bruce will likely dominate their news cycle.

NL West

Los Angeles Dodgers: The season hasn't even started yet and their pitching depth is being tested. It's a good thing they collected plenty of it over the offseason, but the focus may quickly turn to the loss of Zack Greinke.

San Francisco Giants: Offseason acquisitions Johnny Cueto, Jeff Samardzija, and Denard Span will look to push the Giants and their homegrown talent back to the postseason. Oh, and it's an even year, so they're a shoe-in to win the World Series, right?

Arizona Diamondbacks: Dave Stewart paid an awful lot over the winter to bolster the Diamondbacks' starting rotation. Surrounding Paul Goldschmidt and A.J. Pollock with more great players could make selling the farm well worth it.

San Diego Padres: Only one season removed from A.J. Preller attempting to build a championship team, the Padres seem to be at a crossroads. Whether or not they're sellers by the trade deadline seems to be the big discussion.

Colorado Rockies: With a budding superstar in Nolan Arenado, can the Rockies finally develop a winner? Or will he and Carlos Gonzalez represent good opportunities to restock the farm system?

Our Opening Day coverage continues with a look at the starting rotations.

On Monday, we began our Opening Day coverage by discussing what the batting lineups might be. Now it's time to take a look at what each team's starting rotation might look like.

On the Sunday before Opening Day, three games are scheduled. First, the season will open with the two best teams of 2015 going head-to-head: the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates. A modern NL Central rivalry, both the Cardinals and Pirates should contend for postseason spots, and their journeys will begin at 1:05 pm ET.
Our Opening Day coverage begins with lineup projections.

Teams are entering the home stretch of spring training. With two weeks remaining until Opening Day, rosters are being rounded out, injuries are being rehabbed and monitored, and final cuts are being made.

An AL East and international matchup will follow at 4:05 pm ET with the Toronto Blue Jays taking on the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg.
